The Senior School topic this term has been about Sir Peter Blake and how to care
for our coast. As part of this study we all participated in a beach clean up at Mission Bay.
The WestPac team provided us with gloves and bibs and helped with the clean up.
The amount of rubbish we found was just over 3000 pieces. We found around
1000 cigarette butts and 1 cigar.
There were all sorts of rubbish that we collected. Some interesting and
unusual things were; a sim card, a coconut, a computer chip, a shoe, a comb,
an ID badge, a black orange and a needle.
Kelston Primary School did an awesome job and we should all be proud.
