Red Socks World Record Attempt
On the 24th of July Kelston Primary took part in a Guinness World Record attempt. With the help of the team from Westpac, the Sir Peter Blake Trust and our local Community Constable we hung 500 red socks on a line around our school hall. Our socks, along with thousands more from around New Zealand, were then taken to Wellington where they made a 3,184 metre long line of red socks. It was great to be part of such a special event!
Last year our Senior students helped to clean up Mission Bay as part of the Sir Peter Blake Trust 'Care for our Coast' programme. This term some of our Junior students learnt about Sir Peter Blake and his environmental work during a visit to the Maritime Museum .
