Arataki Bush Trip
We went to the Arataki Visitor Centre and Nature Trail to learn more about the
trees and creatures that live in our native forests. We had a wonderful day!
Lots of smiles for our day at Arataki
Starting our big walk through the bush
Stu was telling us all about the trees
Looking at the nikau palm
The possum fur was very soft
We loved the view of the Lower Nihotipu Dam and Manukau Harbour
What do these leaves smell like?
Finding leaves to put in our 'bush milkshakes'
The trees and leaves looked amazing through the magnifying glasses.
A close-up look at a tree trunk
The mirrors helped us to see the tops of the trees
Helping our buddies to feel the plants and trees
That moa is a BIG bird!
